Hi! I'm Wes. I'm a developer at CoverMyMeds working on software solutions for pharmaceuticals. I got into software a few years ago while finishing my architecture degree at Kent State University. When I found myself more interested in writing scripts to automate my architecture work than the work itself, I figured it was time for a change. I started going to dev meetups/hackathons, joined Kent State's Masters of Computer Science program, and have never looked back. I'm interested in design and user experience, and have recently been exploring how data science and machine learning can improve our mission to help patients.

Why would you like to join the CRB Board?

I attribute a lot of my successful transition into development to HacKSU, the software club/meetup at Kent State. It was run in a very similar format to CRB, and I truly believe it made the difference in getting the job I have today. Because of that, I would love to help continue the mission of CRB; creating new developers, connecting professionals, and sharing knowledge.

What would you like to do?

I would love to be able to bring my background and some new ideas to the organization, help to find speakers, be a speaker myself, and help get the word out about CRB!
